The material lifting cranes include bridge cranes, electric hoists, gantry cranes, etc., and different cranes require different wire ropes. As an important material lifting crane accessory, the wire rope must be selected according to the actual working environment, the factors affect the service life of wire rope are the following points:
1. The quality of wire rope
On the same material lifting crane, wire rope products with different quality specifications have different service life.
2. The frequency of material lifting crane use
The higher the frequency of use, the greater the work intensity, the higher specification are required, and the shorter service life.
3. Wire rope maintenance work
The wire rope should be regularly maintained, check the hoisting groove, the pulley groove diameter, and timely replace the pulleys and guide rollers that do not meet the using standard, do the lubrication protection work, which can effectively extend the service life of the wire rope.
4. The actual working environment
If there is dust or corrosive gas in workshop, the service life of wire rope will be reduced, must use the special steel wire rope.
