In the selection of Material handling crane wire rope need to be cautious, because the quality of steel wire rope directly affects the safety of the use of Material handling crane. The Crane manufacturers should be combined with industry standards to select wire ropes to ensure the wire rope safety factor to meet the technical requirements. In the selection, should pay attention to the following three points:
1. Should pay attention to whether the wire rope has product certificate or not, meet the requirements of GB 8918-2006 standard or not.
2. Check the wire rope diameter, strength, twist, anti-torsion performance, fatigue properties, abrasion resistance, elongation and so on, en sure it can meet the needs of Material handling crane work.
3. Check the wire rope ensure the surface is smooth, no wear, lubrication is good and so on.
