The outdoor gantry crane rail clamp is actually a type of windproof device, the clamp clamps the sides of the rail and generates friction to prevent the gantry crane from sliding due to the wind load. In order to increase the strength of the clamp, the lever structure is often used. According to the different driving forms, it can be divided into:
1. Manual screw type
Use the screw to increase the clamping force, simple structure, low cost, and the operation and maintenance are easy. However, the clamping force is not very large, and the operation is slow, it is often used for some small and medium-sized outdoor gantry cranes to prevent wind.
2. Electric screw type
Use the motor to drive the screw to generate the clamping force, convenient to operate and the clamping force is relatively large, but once the power is cut off, it cannot be used.
3. Electric weight type
Use the weight of counter weight to separate the upper part and the lower part to clamp rail, convenient to operate and has an automatic clamping function. The disadvantage is that the self-weight is large and can only be equipped on a large outdoor gantry crane.
