General overhead eot crane generally compose of the bridge metal structure, lifting trolley, operating mechanism. The bridge metal structure are composed by the main beam and end beam, divided into single main beam (Single girder overhead crane) and double main beam (Double girder overhead crane). The single girder overhead crane consists of one main girder and end beams which are place on both sides of the plant track, the double girder overhead crane consists of two main girders and end beams.
The main beam is rigidly connected with the end beam, and the ends of main beam are equipped with wheels for supporting the amin beam to run on the elevated rail track. The main beam is also welded track for lifting trolley running. Bridge beam structure includes box-shaped structure, truss structure.
Box-shaped structure can be divided into right path box-shaped double beam, bias-rail box-shaped double beam, bias-rail box-shaped single beam and so on. Right path box-shaped double beam is a widely used form, composed by the upper and lower flange plates and vertical plate on both sides, the trolley rails arranged on the upper flange plate centerline, simple structure, easy to manufacture, suitable for mass production, but it has a heavier dead weight.
