Material handling crane common safety devices

On the overhead bridge crane, gantry cranes, jib cranes and other material handling cranes, need to install a lot of safety devices to ensure crane operation safety, the following describes some common safety devices and its role:
1. Limiter, it is used to limit the material handling crane work in a certain security range.
2. Overload limiter, when the material handling crane lift more than the rated load, the limiter can automatically trun off the lifting mechanism power source, and give out a warning signal.
3. Torque limiter, if the load torque exceeds the rated lifting torque, can automatically shut down the lifting power source to avoid accidents.
4. Anti-collision device, when the material handling crane is running to near the dangerous distance, the anti-collision device will trun off the power to prevent the collision between the crane body and other objects, the anti-collision device usually is polyurethane buffer.
5. Rail clamps, can be used to fixed outdoor gantry crane operating mechanism, to prevent being blown down or slip on their own which will occur collision and cause harm.
